Honouring Cleanliness Workers – Respect for Those Who Keep Our City Clean

Cleanliness workers play a vital role in maintaining hygiene, health, and dignity in our neighborhoods, yet their contribution often goes unnoticed. Recognizing this, Nagrik Adhikar Manch, led by Sameer Shafi Pathan, has consistently taken steps to honour and appreciate PMC cleanliness workers serving on roads and in residential societies across Kondhwa–Kausar Baugh.

For many years, Sameer Shafi Pathan has been committed to this noble cause of recognition and gratitude. As a mark of respect, Diwali celebrations were organized with cleanliness workers, acknowledging their hard work and dedication to public service.

During these celebrations:

  • PMC cleanliness workers were felicitated and appreciated

  • Sarees were distributed as a gesture of respect

  • Sweets and snacks were shared, celebrating the festival together as one community

  • Workers were personally thanked for their tireless service on roads and in societies

These initiatives go beyond ceremonial gestures — they reinforce the belief that those who serve the city deserve dignity, respect, and acknowledgment.

Through such efforts, Sameer Shafi Pathan continues to promote a culture of gratitude, inclusion, and social responsibility, reminding citizens that a clean city is built on the hard work of individuals who deserve recognition every day.
