About Us

Nagrik Adhikar Manch is a grassroots civic platform led by Sameer Shafi Pathan, working with the core belief that citizens deserve timely services, safe neighborhoods, and dignified access to healthcare, administration, and public infrastructure. Under his leadership as President, the Manch has consistently addressed real issues faced by residents across the ward through on-ground action, coordination with authorities, and community participation.

Nagrik Adhikar Manch stands for action over words — working every day to improve civic life, healthcare access, and community dignity across the ward.
  • Street Light & Power Failure Issues – Ensuring Safety and Accountability:

Frequent power failures in residential areas and non-functional street lights, especially in the NIBM area and Welcome Hall Chowk, posed serious safety risks for pedestrians, women, senior citizens, and commuters. Sameer Shafi Pathan actively took up these issues with the concerned authorities. When delays persisted, a public protest was organized to draw attention to the problem. Through strong coordination with local bodies and continuous follow-up, the street light and power issues were finally resolved — marking a clear victory for citizen-led action and accountability.

  • Public Movements & Citizen Representation:
The organization has organized and supported Handa Morcha and citizen protests to highlight unresolved civic grievances, ensuring that public voices are heard by the administration in a democratic and lawful manner.

  • Cleanliness & Sanitation Drives:
Regular cleanliness campaigns have been conducted at key locations such as the NIBM area and Welcome Hall Chowk, promoting hygiene, public health, and community responsibility through active citizen participation.

  • Traffic Management & Public Safety:
Special efforts were undertaken to ease traffic congestion on Survey No. 42 Road, particularly during the holy month of Ramzan, ensuring smooth movement for residents, worshippers, and emergency services. The Manch continues to raise and coordinate solutions for overall traffic concerns across the ward.

  • Administrative Assistance & Documentation Drives:
Multiple administrative camps were organized to help citizens with new registrations, updates, corrections, and changes for documents such as Aadhaar cards, ration cards, PAN cards, voter IDs, and other essential government records — reducing the need for repeated visits to offices.

  • Healthcare & Medical Support Initiatives:
Healthcare remains a major focus area. Through sustained efforts, over 2,000 citizens have benefited from free eye cataract surgeries, along with other medical surgeries and artificial limb (prosthetic) replacements, significantly improving quality of life for underprivileged residents.

These issues especially affected daily commuters, school-going children, senior citizens, and local businesses.
