Road & Drainage- “From persistent problems to permanent solutions — development that residents can feel every day.”
Resolving Road & Drainage Pipeline Issues in Ward 19
For a long time, residents of Mitha Nagar, Bhagyoday Nagar, and Shivneri Nagar in Kondhwa–Kausar Baugh, Ward 19 faced serious challenges due to damaged roads and failing drainage pipelines. Poor road conditions, frequent waterlogging, and blocked drains caused daily inconvenience and required repeated follow-ups by citizens with civic authorities.

Understanding the impact of these issues on public safety, hygiene, and quality of life, Sameer Shafi Pathan, as President of Nagrik Adhikar Manch, took proactive responsibility to resolve them. He conducted site visits, documented citizen complaints, and ensured that the matter was formally taken up with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

Through continuous coordination, persistent follow-up, and regular engagement with PMC departments, the long-pending issues were finally addressed. Damaged roads were repaired, improving connectivity and safety, and new drainage pipelines were installed, reducing waterlogging and preventing recurring sanitation problems.

These improvements brought much-needed relief to residents and demonstrated how committed leadership and administrative coordination can convert long-standing civic problems into lasting solutions.
